Halton Volleyball All-Stars 2021
Oakville Thunder Volleyball Club is pleased to announce we have four athletes from our 18U Boys team named as Halton Volleyball All-stars 2021!!!
Ronan Chew, Evan Burke, Ryan McKinnon and Patrick Mercer
Congratulations Boys, you’ve made a huge impact through your school sports and Oakville Thunder.
Ronan Chew
Ronan is an extremely skilled player, who played multiple positions on our team this year. He is at his absolute best in libero, where his solid passing, quickness and brilliant game sense can really shine. His joy of the game, and inclusive nature meant that every member of our team community felt valued. He captained our team through to a silver medal at OFSAA, due in no small part to his leadership. He leaves it all on the court, every time.
Evan Burke
This season, Evan has played with such intention and passion. He is a committed member of our team who leads by example. Unarguably, he is a very skilled volleyball player that his teammates look for in crucial moments. Evan’s finest qualities are his winning attitude (on and off the court) and desire to continually improved his skills. Evan has had a fantastic season and we are proud to nominate him as our King’s Volleyball Allstar!
Ryan McKinnon
Ryan is a grade 12 player who has been a force on the St. FX teams since Grade 9. Ryan is a power hitter who is consistent with both his hits and his serves, able to be called upon in a clutch situations to perform at peak ability. On and off the court, Ryan is a quiet but solid leader. He captained his team in this, his final year, providing guidance and support for his fellow players. We wish Ryan continued success beyond high school and thank him for his tremendous contribution to the St. FX volleyball program.
Patrick Mercer
Definitely a volleyball all-star in our Thunder family! Unfortunately Patrick’s Coach didn’t submit a bio and photo on-time. Congratulations Patrick!!!
