The fall has been busy for all volleyball athletes as the competitive rep season has begun, but additionally many of our male athletes have also been playing on their high school teams.  Congratulations to all the athletes who have worked hard to juggle their school work and volleyball schedules this high school season.  OTVC wants to acknowledge the athletes on our teams who were also a part of their high school successes, winning Halton Championships.

Cameron from 16U Boys, who with his Aldershot Secondary School team won the HSSAA Junior Boys Tier 2 Championships.

Lucas & Rivith from 16U Boys, who with their White Oaks Secondary School won the HSSAA Junior Boys Tier 1 Championships.

Samuel, Joey & Tyler from 18U Boys, who with their Garth Webb Secondary School won the HSAA Senior Boys Tier 1 Championships.

Congratulations to Tyler Hignett (Garth Webb) and Evan Grawey (Oakville Trafalgar) who were selected as HSSAA All-Stars for their consistent on court performance.  Well done!

Beyond the Halton region competition, the senior teams work to qualify for OFSAA.  In a tightly contested GHAC qualifier Oakville Trafalgar upset Garth Webb to qualify for the provincial championships.  Thunder is represented on the Oakville Trafalgar team by Evan.  Despite this loss – both Garth Webb & OT were awarded spots at the AAA OFSAA tournament in Kingston.  They competed this past weekend and finished tied for 5th in the province.  A job well done!  Congratulations to all!
