Thunder Development | Lightning Program

At Oakville Thunder Volleyball Club we want to provide an opportunity to young athletes who want to learn about volleyball, make friends and have an absolute blast doing it! Our Lightning Development Program is modelled after the OVA’s Smashball Program.

This Program is lead by the Club Technical Director - Jason Marchant

What will the athletes learn?

Physical Literacy Skills
Running, sprinting, throwing, catching, body awareness, spatial awareness, position relative to court, ball, boundaries, teammates, etc.

Volleyball Fundamentals
Serving, passing, setting, attacking, blocking, defending

Understanding Performance
Assisting athletes understand the connection between how we treat ourselves, how we treat others and its direct affiliation to how we perform on the court.
