This year the Provincial Championships were hosted in Toronto over the course of a 6 day event at the Enercare Centre.
The first 3 days saw Oakville Thunder Flash (18U Boys), Rumble (15U Girls), Surge (15U Girls) and Terror (15U Boys) compete.  Everyone was excited to be a part of the event and give their all to the culminating tournament of the year.

 

Highlights of the tournament include:
15U Girls Rumble securing a Gold medal in Division 1 Tier 3
18U Boys Flash winning a Bronze medal in Division 1 Tier 2
A strong showing by all teams in the first weekend of Provincials!

 

The second half of the Ontario Championships weekend saw 4 more teams competing, Oakville Thunder Shock (16U Girls), Strike (17U Girls), Force (13U Girls) and Havoc (16U Boys).  The 16U Girls won an exciting bronze medal in Division 2 Tier 1, coming out ahead 16 – 14 in the 3rd set over a strong Venom Vipers Team.

 

Congratulations to all athletes, coaches & team supporters who represented Thunder well at the Provincial Championships!
